SUMMER SATURDAY HOURS

The Yeadon Library will be open from 10 am - 2 pm on Saturday September 4th, but closed Sunday, and closed Monday September 6th for the Labor Day holiday.

Please note that regular Saturday hours of 10-5 will resume on Saturday, September 11th.

YEADON LIBRARY BOOK CLUB

The Yeadon Library Book Club started in 2009 and meets regularly for lively discussions on a variety of fiction and non-fiction titles. If you are interested in taking part or recommending a selection, please feel free to call the Library at 610 623 4090 for more information - and come out and attend one of our discussion meetings! The current selection that the Book Club is reading and next meeting date/time for the Book Club is listed below under Upcoming Events.



WI-FI ACCESS

You can now come to the Yeadon Library with your laptop or other wireless-enabled device, and use the free wireless internet access - stop at the information desk to ask for a username and password.

The Friends of the Yeadon Public Library is a non-profit organization with the goal of providing support and extra financial help in providing the best library we can for our community. The Friends of the Library group welcomes new members in an effort to obtain a broader foundation in the community.

UPCOMING EVENTS
FRIENDS OF THE YEADON LIBRARY MEETING

The Friends generally meet once per month on the second Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. All are invited - come out and be a part of this great organization. Meetings are held at the Yeadon Library, 809 Longacre Blvd.

Please note that the next Friends of the Yeadon Library meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 8th at 6 pm.



YEADON LIBRARY BOOK CLUB

The Book Club is currently reading Cion: A Novel by Zakes Mda. The group will meet on Wednesday, September 15th at 6:00 pm to discuss the book. Be sure to pick up your copy at the Library and come along to participate in discussing this creative and insightful masterpiece from the South African novelist who writes of heritage and the importance of tradition in families.



FLU SHOTS

Flu shots will be available at the Yeadon Library from 11 am - 1 pm on Wednesday, October 6th . The flu shots are free to those with Medicare, Part B primary coverage. Aetna card holders pay no co-pay. Otherwise, the flu shots are $30 but reimbursable by most insurance companies. Credit cards are not accepted. Keystone 65 members must pay and then seek reimbursement. The flu shots are provided by Maxim Health Systems.
