The Friends of the Yeadon Public Library is a non-profit organizatio whose goal is to provide support and extra financial help in making our library the best it can be. During the following months, The Friends will be conducting a membership drive aimed at obtaining a broader foundation in the community.

Trustee Vacancy

The Yeadon Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking an individual who displays an active interest in the library and a willingness to advocate for library issues to fulfill the duties as a Yeadon Public Library Trustee.

This individual should be a at least eighteen years of age, and a resident of Yeadon. Interested parties should e-mail their resumes to yeadonlibrary@comcast.net, or bring their resume to the Library Director during open hours.

UPCOMING EVENTS
FOOD FOR FINES

Yeadon Public Library Celebrates National Library Week, April 12-18, 2009, by participating in the Delaware County Library System's food drive.

Bring in a non-perishable food item and reduce your fine by $1.00.

Customers who don’t owe fines are also encouraged to make food donations.

All items will be given to a local food bank.

Call or stop by the library for more details.

During the Month of March Yeadon Public Library will be celebrating “African American Literacy”

American Cultures For Children Presents: African-American Heritage
(Host: Phylicia Rashad. Summary Exciting adventures appear at every turn as children are introduced to the vibrant sights and sounds of Africa (with a focus on West Africa). They’ll learn about the diverse geography and cultures there as well as the history of African Americans. Audience Grades K-4)
