WIRELESS INTERNET (WI-FI) ACCESS

You can now come to the Yeadon Library with your laptop or other wireless-enabled device, and use the free wireless internet access - stop at the information desk to ask for a username and password. |

YEADON LIBRARY BOOK CLUB

The Yeadon Library Book Club started in 2009 and meets regularly for lively discussions on a variety of fiction and non-fiction titles. If you are interested in taking part or recommending a selection, please feel free to call the Library at 610 623 4090 for more information - and come out and attend one of our discussion meetings! WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH EVENT

Join us for a presentation entitled 'Spotlight on Today's Women' in celebration of March as Women's History Month. This event is free to all and will be held Tuesday, March 30th at 7 pm. Topics to be covered include Business, Career, Financial Freedom, Health and Entrepreneurship. Friends of Yeadon Library member Sandra Wilks (and special speakers to be announced closer to the date) will empower and inform everyone! Men are welcome too! |

CENSUS FORM ASSISTANCE

The Library is partnering with Census 2010 to ensure everyone participates and completes the Census. The Library will be an authorized Questionnaire Assistance Center, and Census representatives will be at the Library from March 19th to April 19th during the following times to assist residents with any Census questions they may have: Mon-Thur from 6 pm-9 pm and Saturdays from 10 am-1 pm. |

AUTHOR PJ MCCALLA VISIT AND BOOK SIGNING

In conjunction with Elevator Group Publishing, we are pleased to welcome Darby author PJ McCalla to the Yeadon Library on March 11th at 7 pm to read from and discuss her first published title. Heads Deacon Tails Devil is set in the early 1900s and is the story of abusive relationships in a family trying to stay together and remain strong. Robert Grant is a long-standing deacon and spirit-stirring soloist at a Baptist Church, and shows his best side to his adoring public but is the devil incarnate at home. Everyone is invited to come hear Ms. McCalla speak about her intense and gripping novel. |

LIFT EVERY VOICE & CELEBRATE

The Library's annual event Lift Every Voice & Celebrate - Speaking Through Our Youth will be held on Friday, March 26th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm - note this is a new date, and has been rescheduled from 2/26 due to the weather. |

YEADON LIBRARY BOOK CLUB

The Book Club is currently reading One Thousand White Women: The Journals of May Dodd by Jim Fergus. The group will meet on Wednesday April 7th at 6:30 pm to discuss the book. Be sure to pick up your copy of the book at the Library and come along to participate in discussing this historical fiction title with an unusual twist! |
